One and Growing Strong

Wow, this has been a busy year. I cannot believe the baby turned one already. It seems like time flew by. It feels like I just had her and Sept. 29th was already one year that she has been in our lives. She is the most amazing girl in the world. She has been taking steps and has been saying so much lately.

She had her one year appointment at the doctor’s on Thursday. He stated that we are doing and excellent job with her. She is already 31 inches long, 23.2 pounds and has a 19 inch head circumference. She is going to be tall like daddy. She had a nice time at the Bloomsburg Fair with Grammy and Cioci Becky. She also had a good time when we had gone to the fair on Thursday.

This weekend is her party and we have been getting the preparations done. I cannot wait to see her interacting with family and friends. I will definitely have Jason posting lots of pictures. Well, hope to post more, but now with her walking, she keeps us on our toes. I will do my best to post more, but like now, I usually have to wait until she is asleep. She’s been sleeping for a while, but I try to pick up around the house until the next day.

Knoebels

Yesterday was Juliana’s first trip to Knoebels. She seemed to have a wonderful time. She was laughing and smiling practically the entire day. Many people at the park commented on how adorable and cute she was as she laughed and smiled away. I was worried that she may not be able to make it to the end, but she surprised me. Jason was wonderful hanging out with her so I was able to ride some of the rides with the older siblings.

Since she is still quite small, we were only able to take her on two rides. She rode on my lap while daddy drove the antique cars. Then daddy held her on the train ride. She enjoyed the woods and even smiled at seeing the squirrels eating the corn. She had so much excitement that she only had one 20 minute nap all day. She enjoyed all of the lights as the park got darker. I cannot wait until she can hopefully go on many more rides next year.

I hope to have Jason put some pictures on here over the next few days. I will hopefully post more soon. We will be going to a wedding this weekend and maybe we can get more pictures from then as well. Until then, happy reading.

Ten Months Old

Well today Juliana turned 10 months old. It is amazing that so much time has passed. She has grown so much in these past few months. She has been crawling for quite some time now, but she is starting to get up on her hands and knees. Before she would tummy crawl like a little soldier. She now has six teeth.

I love spending time with her when we come home from work. She loves driving in her little jeep. We call her crash now. She enjoys crashing into everything and then backing up as to get away from the scene. Lol. It is the cutest thing. We are starting to think of ideas and such for when she turns 1 because it will be here before we know it.

We are hoping to go to Knoebels over the next few weeks. I think she will enjoy it because she is such a dare-devil, but I am thinknig she may go on the merry-go-round and train. That is all mommy can see her going on. I hope to have pictures or video when we get there and hopefully we can post them on here.

Well, just wanted to make a quick post to keep brief updates on the newest things going on with Juliana. Hope to post again soon. She keeps us so busy, that it may be some time before we post.

Nine Month Checkup

Today was Juliana’s next checkup. We got there a few minutes early to give the staff there the new insurance information. I then filled out the assessment of her progress so far. It asked if she is starting to sound out “words”, crawling and things of that nature. I am happy to report that she is able to do all of the things listed on the paper. We went back and the nurse did some measurements. Juliana’s head circumference is 18 inches. She is now 29 inches long. She weighs 21.8 pounds. The doctor discussed her doing wonderfully for her age. Dr. Harris was quite impressed that she will clap when we talk about clapping. She also enjoyed looking at herself in the mirror. Over the next few months, he would like us to add some more foods into her system. Eggs, cottage cheese and yogurt are next on the list and by 11 to 12 months, she will be on milk. She got one immunization today. She cried for a minute, but by the time she got dressed and we went to check out, she was already back to her happy little self.

She is such a wonderful baby and many people are amazed at what she can do at 9 months old. I also talked to the doctor about how she is doing a great job at crawling and seems like she wants to start walking soon. Speaking of walking, she is enjoying her new walker. She is quite happy going around the house in her Jeep Liberty Renegade. I will hopefully get pictures on here of her in the walker. We were out over the weekend and friends were quite shocked at how well she behaved. She did not cry at all. They discussed that if they did not see me holding her and feeding her, then they would have never known she was in the room. I am so glad to have a wonderful and happy baby. I know we are truly blessed with her and am glad she continues to progress at different milestones. I may be partial, but I think she is the best baby in the world and I can’t picture my life without her.

Hope to post again soon. Hopefully more exciting updates to come. Until then, happy reading.

Nine Months Old

I cannot believe nine months have gone by since I had the baby. It has been wonderful so far. I feel like this was what I was meant to do in life. Juliana amazes me every single day with all the stuff she has been doing and also how much she has learned so far. Every day I look at her and just sit back and laugh at the great things she has learned to accomplish.

Juliana has been crawling and trying to walk by herself. Of course I have to hold her up since she as not as sturdy as she would like to be. I love hearing her laughter. Every day I look at her and see how happy she is. Sometimes when she laughs, we laugh and it makes her chuckle even harder. I am blessed with having such a wonderful baby.

Jason has put some different videos of Juliana online for family and friends to look at. Hopefully he can post the site on here for everyone to enjoy watching her grow before our eyes. Well, hope to post again soon, but it has been hectic with the family. I will do my best to not let the days go by without updating all the great things Juliana has accomplished and will continue to learn. Enjoy for now!!

Eight months….

I can’t believe it has been 8 months since the baby was born. She is the most wonderful and beautiful thing in this world. She is now into the fun stage. Juliana laughs up a storm now. She has changed so much from the little one I held in my arms the first day. Juliana now can roll around and crawl. Her brother and sister call her the ninja. She is getting to her toys in her stealth-like manor.

It has been so hectic with work and the kids that I have not had a chance to post too much on here. Juliana has been doing great. Everyone knows she is Daddy’s girl. She looks like daddy, enjoys the computers like daddy and loves daddy’s Macbook. I am so glad to have her in m life. The last few days she has been very happy and loves to cuddle with mommy. It is the best feeling in the world to just have this little person rely on you and totally know what they want.

Juliana enjoys taking walks with my dad. She has been saying more “words.” She knows mama, dada, ada(my dad), pop, and today I swear she said Matt for the first time.  I cannot wait to see what is in store for us in the coming months. She has been crawling round the house. She also was standing by herself for brief moments holding onto my grandfathers leg as he sat in a chair.

I am hoping to add more photos to show how Juliana has been growing like a weed. She is quite tall and very vocal. Juliana still is awesome with her sleep schedule. I still wake up to check on her from time to time, but she still sleeps through the night. She has started having meals now. She gets cereal and fruit in the morning, fruit and vegetable in the afternoon and meat, vegetable and fruit for dinner. Since she has 4 teeth now, she also can have some baby cookies and little munchies to chew on.

Well, hopefully daddy can show me how to add pictures or I can possibly have him upload them now that his work schedule is not as hectic as it has been in the past. Hope all enjoy the brief post. Hopefully it will not take another 3 months for me to post. If so, it is only because we are doing lots of family stuff and also with the weather getting warmer, we will be able to possibly going on more outings.

Some New Firsts

Well there have been a few new firsts over the last few days. The first new item is that the baby finally went out of state. We went on vacation to Maryland for a few days. She did excellent. We kind of timed it so that she ate and then she didn’t need to eat until we got down to the hotel. Once we got there, she had another first. It was the first time in a swimming pool. I was hoping she would do well. As soon as we got in, I thought she may cry, but she started kicking her feet and splashing around. Once the water hit her face, she laughed. Abby was giving her rooster hair and it looked so cute. She did great sleeping there as well. I woke up at 5am the one morning and she got up, looked at me and smiled. Then I look over again and she had taken the binky and put it in her mouth and put herself back to sleep after a minute or so.

Today was another first. She turned 6 months over the weekend and since we were away, I did not want to start her on vegetables until we got back. Well, today she had her first taste of squash. She was not too happy with it. She will hopefully enjoy the taste of other things much better. I know she will only have one type of vegetable for 3 days then I can move on to the next one. Once the vegetables are done, then we go to the fruits. It will be a little bit before we can get her on the meats.

Well, hopefully there will be more good things to post in the coming months. I hope that Jason can add some photos of the trip and such. Well, I am going to spend some quality time with the family and hope to post again soon. Enjoy the reading and feel free to comment if you wish.

Baby’s 1st Tooth

Well, today I had taken the baby to my co-worker’s shower. There were 3 babies there. They were all less than 2 weeks apart. It was quite cool to see them interact. Well, we had a wonderful time at Nicole’s shower. While I was there, Juliana pulled my finger to her mouth and all I feel is a little tooth poking through her gums. I was shocked. I thought she would be fussy and crying while they would come in.

She is just so amazing. Juliana makes me smile when I see her so happy and interacting with everyone. I am always told how lucky and blessed we are to have such a happy baby. I am truly blessed. We love her so much. I wanted to make a quick post to inform all of the good news. I am hoping to post more frequently. I will hopefully have some great things to post in the next few weeks.  Until then, enjoy the post.

Laughing Baby

It’s been a while since I have posted anything on here.  Mainly because I just have no time.  I work 80 or more hours every week and when I am home I just want to relax, besides working.  I shot this video earlier today, and felt that it was time I added some more information to the babys site.  I also know that most of you would like to see her as well.  So here it is.

Wow….Time is Flying.

I can’t believe it has been over a month since I have posted. Things have gotten so hectic since going back to work. Between the normal routine and the older kids having sports, I never seem to have time to do much. I work and then want to spend time with the baby afterwards.

It amazes me she is already 4 months old. Juliana has been so happy. She still sleeps through the night. She has been smiling and even has been laughing more and more each day. She has been growing so fast. I had taken her for her check up and shots last week. She is already 15 pounds and 5 ounces. She is now 25 inches long. The nurse said she will probably be tall. I guess she will take after daddy.

Well, hopefully I can get Jason to post more pictures on here so everyone can see her growing so fast. I will do my best to keep updating this more frequently. Hopefully everyone enjoys the post.
