Well just writing a quick post. We had a very busy day today. Lots of last minute things before school starts. We started off the day getting things done in the house. Then after that we ran and did some errands. We had to run to the bank, make a quick stop and then off to pick up the kids glasses. After that, we ran to the haircuts, last minute items for school, and then off to Janeen’s dentist appt. She got her cavity filled. By that time it was about 2:30 and we needed to head over to my doctor’s appt. Jason had one as well, so he was using his lunch time from work to attend his.

Things went well at the doctor’s office for me. Blood pressure is excellent. Things are going well, strong heartbeat. He checked and said the baby is still up and not down in the pelvis, so I should not be going into labor anytime today or so. That was good to hear. It is time for me to start going weekly. So, I will be seeing him again next week and I also have my next ultrasound next week. That is when I will know for sure what is going on with the baby. It will let us know how big the baby is getting and if he needs to do anything earlier. We are also going to meet with the pediatrician that we chose for the baby. It seems like there is still so much to do, but time is getting shorter. Well, I will post again soon. Happy reading.

Here are some of the pictures from the baby shower this past Sunday.

Well, today I woke up and had no energy. I ended up calling off of work. It is so nice to have co-workers who are concerned. They called to make sure I was ok. I told them I was ok, but just exhausted from having a rough night. I then slept in until about 11am. Boy did I need that. I ended up feeling much better and was able to work on some stuff here at the house.

Jason was doing an excellent job with the baby’s room. We have a great start and things are getting organized. We put together the crib, bookcase, toy chest and stroller. We were able to get the valances up and put the bedding and mobile on the crib. Jason will be getting some pictures. I think he wants to wait for the other two pieces of furniture to come in and get set up. My grandfather is also letting me use my grandmother’s rocker for the baby.

It will be so nice to have everything set when the baby comes. We have a few smaller things to do before the baby gets here, but we are making progress. There are some other things we need to put together, but I told Jason we can work on them little by little. I still need to find a nice rug to put in the room, but eventually we will find one that matches well.

Today was the baby shower. It was a wonderful time. There were lots of family and friends there. There were so many presents. I think Jason will post some pictures on here. We have so much stuff in the baby’s room. Becky and I sorted through the gifts and put things in order in the room. Once Jason gets a chance to put some stuff together, we can put things away properly.

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. It seems like everyone had a good time. It was nice to see some family and friends that I don’t see often. Hopefully everyone will continue to look on to see the progress of the room and baby. I have to say a special thanks to all who baked and helped out with everything. And of course a special thank you to my sister and my parents. They made this such a wonderful day.

Well, tomorrow is the baby shower. I cannot believe how fast time flew by until now. It will be so exciting. I am just happy to be able to see all my family and friends that want to share in this day. There are still a few last minute things to get done, but we will work through it. Everything will get done and things will be perfect.

I am amazed and excited at how active the baby has been. It is always moving around and kicking/punching. It has even been getting the hiccups lately. It will be wonderful to see this little one when the time is right. I guess we will know when the time is right after my next ultrasound.

Well, I just wanted to make a quick post. I will definitely post again soon and maybe Jason can even get some pictures up on here as well. Once we have the shower, then it is off to put things together and get things done for the baby’s arrival. Until then, happy reading.

Well, today was my next doctor’s appointment. It seems like things are going well. Blood pressure and such are still well. We were talking today and it seems like my next ultrasound is critical. He is waiting to see the results of that and then will determine what the plan of action is going to be. If the baby is getting too big, he may take me in early. He said he may take me before he leaves on vacation for 2 weeks in later September. I guess it all depends on the baby though.

This upcoming weekend is my shower. I can’t wait. It should be exciting. It will be nice to get together with everyone and celebrate this life we are bringing into the world. I am amazed at how fast time is going by these days. I see the doctor again in 2 weeks and then my next ultrasound is Sept 4th. I can’t wait to find out to see when this baby will arrive. Well, I will go for now. The baby has been so active and has been getting hiccups as well. It is so cute. Well, happy reading.

Well, the baby has been quite active for the last few days. Today was the ultrasound and now I know why it has been so active. We found out today that the baby is almost 5 lbs already and there are still 2 months to go. Dr Smith also said baby is about 16 inches already and the foot is 2&1/2 inches long.

The baby was quite active on the ultrasound as well. It was stroking its face, clutching onto its ankle and just wiggling in general. As I am writing this, the baby is moving around. It is so amazing. We have some more stuff narrowed down for the shower. The menu is set, the linen color was chosen and the cake has been ordered.

I cannot believe that the shower is only 12 days away. It will be so exciting to see everyone. It should be quite fun. Well, I will post again soon. I have my next doctor’s appt on Monday and I will see what he has to say about this little one. Who knows, maybe it will come early….that is what everyone keeps telling me now.
