Well I went back to work today. Things were hectic this morning. Juliana had a good day with my dad, sis and Abby. I dreaded this day. I did not get much sleep last night. I cried for a bit. Jason has been so wonderful. He is an awesome husband. I am glad my family is able to help us out for a bit. It will be an easier transition when she actually does have to go to daycare.

I know things will get easier, but it is so hard right now. I came home and just was with her, holding her and such. I then had to run Jr. over to practice. Tomorrow Janeen has practice. The rest of the week should hopefully be easier. Just school for the kids and us at work. Then we can have more time together.

Well, the baby made it through her first New Year’s Eve. We were just here at the house and some family came over. We were here playing cards and talking. Juliana was doing quite well. She took a little cat nap and was up in time to see the New Year. After everyone left we went up to bed and she promptly fell back to sleep and didn’t wake up until about 9:15 this morning.

I am so lucky to have her in my life. She is such a good and happy baby. I have to go back to work and my dad will be watching her for a bit before we have to put her in daycare. I really don’t want to go back and miss seeing her throughout the day. We have our little routine and I will miss that. I know we will start making new routines, but I still wish I could be here with her to see the amazing things she does and surprises me with throughout the days.

I know I may be partial, but I think she is the smartest and most beautiful baby. She is always happy and it was so cute. Two nights ago she would mimic me laughing. I thought it was the cutest and sweetest little thing. She just amazes me. She has been eating more and we added cereal as well, so she can be full and content. I hope this is going to be a wonderful and exciting year for her.

Well, the baby had her first Christmas. She seemed to have a good time visiting with family. She enjoyed her gifts, but next year may be a little better since she will know how to rip off the paper. Juliana looked so pretty in her outfits. She was so adorable. All the relatives cannot believe how big she is getting.

She has been growing quite quickly. She is now 3 months old and we have started her on a bit of rice cereal in her bottles. We increased her bottle size as well. It will be kind of sad that I have to go back to work. I don’t want to leave her. We have to see if my dad is going to watch her or if we will start daycare right off the bat. Jason will have to put some pictures on here.

Well, the baby is awake so I must go. Hope to post again soon. Enjoy for now.

In my previous post about the doctor appointment, I forgot to mention that Juliana is now 22 inches long and she weighs 11lbs 13oz. The doctor was impressed that she is sleeping through the night as well.

I can’t believe that Juliana is two months old already. It seems like we just had her. Time is flying by. Today she went for her shots. She was doing well with seeing the doctor. He cauterized her belly button since it did not heal properly. She was wonderful for that. Then she had gotten the shots. She cried quite a bit, but by the time we were leaving, she was already asleep in the car.

She does not have to go back to see the doctor until the beginning of March. I am glad to say that Juliana had a nice Thanksgiving. It will be so exciting to see her at Christmas. We started putting up the tree and decorations. She was quite amazed. It was so cute to see her eyes light up.

Well, we ended up not going to NJ. The wedding ended up being canceled. I don’t know when it is being rescheduled. We ended up going to get some things for the kids. Juliana got a few outfits and Jason and Janeen got shoes for basketball.

Things have been busy lately. Today is Juliana’s first Thanksgiving Day. I made one turkey last night and another one this morning. We straightened up a bit before everyone came. Everyone was here and they all seemed to have a good time. We had lots of food, good conversation and also some movies, games and computer streaming over the tv.

Juliana has been quite alert today. My dad and sister were enjoying her. My mom got to feed her as well. She seemed to get pooped out now. I am holding her while typing this and she is sleeping away. The other kids here enjoyed holding her a bit.

I am so thankful she is here and happy and healthy. I am grateful for my family and having everyone in my life. I hope Jason will be able to get sleep and will have a pretty good day tomorrow at work. His back has been hurting a lot more lately.

Well, the dishes are done and family is here relaxing. I am going to see if I can do the same. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Well, tomorrow we are heading out of state. We are not going very far. We are headed out to NJ for a wedding. Jason’s cousin is getting married and we are attending. It will be nice for him to see his relatives. Juliana is 6 weeks old now and many of his relatives have not seen her yet.

I am hoping that she will do well on the way down and back. She likes to fall asleep in the car much of the time so I don’t see too much of a problem. I am also hoping she is ok in the hotel. We are making sure that we have everything to make sure she is comfortable and will have her pack and play to sleep in there.

I wanted to make a post today. The baby has had very good days the last few days. Over the last few days, her sleeping pattern had been awesome. She would eat at 11:30pm and then would sleep until 5am. That was 2 nights in a row. Then last night was not the same, but it was still decent. I figured since we had to change the clocks, her pattern would be different.

Today was a big day. Juliana had a great day. She had started off with a good day and was very happy. She is usually a happy baby, but we can usually never get her smiles on camera. Today, we were lucky to capture one. We then finished up straightening up the house, and then the baby had her bath before going to her baptism.

The baptism turned out really well. Everyone went to the church and celebrated. It was a nice service. Then afterwards, we came to the house and had some food and cake. Everyone seemed to have a good time. I will get Jason to post some pictures on here when he can.

Now, everything is winding down. Most of the guests have left. Abby, Jim and Becky are still here hanging out for a while. The baby is sleeping for a bit right now. She had an eventful day. I cannot believe that Juliana is one month old already. It just seems like yesterday that I had her. She is just changing every day. She is on a more regular sleeping and eating pattern. We cannot complain. She is sleeping fairly well throughout the night. Usually her last feeding before we go to bed is 11-12 range. Then she wakes about 3 or 4am. She will then usually sleep until at least 6 or so. Sometimes it is even longer. There have only been a few days that we were up from about 1am to 5am straight.

Jason is going to take pictures for each month. I assume he will add them on here, but we are going to put them in a little frame we have for the first year of her life. It will be so nice to see how she changes and grows throughout the year. She has been so much more alert and happy. It amazes me how she smiles. I would love to capture it on my camera, but I cannot seem to get it whenever she smiles. I will eventually.

I will post more. We are going to have her baptism on Sunday and I will post again and hopefully get pictures on here. So, hopefully Jason will add picture for me so everyone can see how she looks and is growing. Until then, happy reading.

Well, just wanted to make a quick post. Things have been going pretty well. Juliana has been doing well for the most part. Some nights are better than others, but all in all I cannot complain. For being 3 weeks old she is doing pretty well. She is growing so fast. It’s almost like she changes every day.

Today Juliana’s umbilical cord fell off. I was a bit nervous at first because I could not find it. It happened to be stuck in her outfit. I have been using the alcohol swabs on it though. Want to make sure things are well and it does not get infected. I am hoping it will be more comfortable for her.

Well, I will go for now. Just wanted to update. I enjoy updating, even if it’s a small thing. It is big in my book. Well, hope to post again soon and hope to get more pictures up shortly.
